Isle of Skye Highlights

Explore the rugged beauty of Scotland on a scenic journey across the spectacular Isle of Skye. During this approximately 6-hour experience, you'll travel through some of the island's most dramatic landscapes, where sweeping coastal views, striking rock formations, and centuries of history come together to create an unforgettable day.

One of the highlights of the tour is a visit to the remarkable Quiraing, located nearly 1,800 feet above sea level. This breathtaking area forms part of the Trotternish Ridge, the largest landslip in Europe, stretching nearly 19 miles and still slowly shifting today. From here, enjoy incredible views of Skye's rugged coastline and rolling highlands.

Your journey continues past several of Skye's most iconic landmarks. Admire the dramatic cliffs of Kilt Rock, named for the pleated pattern in the basalt columns that resembles a traditional Scottish kilt, and view the famous Old Man of Storr, a towering and distinctive rock pinnacle rising from the surrounding landscape. You'll also visit the enchanting Fairy Glen, a unique area of grassy mounds and winding paths that feels straight out of a storybook.

Along the way, you'll pass traditional black cottages scattered across the countryside--historic buildings that offer a glimpse into life on Skye more than 300 years ago.

A stop is planned near the historic Dunvegan Castle area, the oldest continually inhabited castle in Scotland and the ancestral home of the MacLeod clan for over 800 years. Time will be available for lunch (not included) in the area (location may vary depending on weather and traffic conditions).

With its dramatic scenery, fascinating history, and unforgettable viewpoints, this tour offers a wonderful introduction to the wild and magical landscapes of the Isle of Skye.
